FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Two men have pleaded not guilty to charges related to the death of a state highway worker hit by a pickup truck here.
Gregory Vilidnitsky, 57, was working on a repaving project on Route 9 Tuesday night.

Prosecutors say Jeremy Gardner, 29, of Bridgton, Maine, was driving the truck when it struck the worker. A judge ordered that Gardner be held on $100,000 bail Wednesday on charges including drunken driving, motor vehicle homicide and leaving the scene of a crash.
Prosecutors say Walter Smith, 49, of Barre, Vt., tried to move the truck after the crash. He is being held on $50,000 bail on a drunken driving charge.
Gardner’s lawyer said there’s a question as to who was driving at the time of the crash.
