SCARBOROUGH – Connor Bell scored two goals as Gorham handed Scarborough its first boys’ soccer loss of the season, defeating the Red Storm 2-1 Thursday in an SMAA game.

Bell curved a corner kick into the net early in the second half to give the Rams (4-1) a 1-0 lead, then made it 2-0 with 11:21 remaining off a feed from Kevin Lubelczyk.

Andrew Jones scored for the Red Storm (4-1) with 1:30 left to spoil Carter Bowers’ shutout bid. Bowers finished with seven saves, and Scarborough goalie Peter Moore stopped two shots.

CHEVERUS 0, BONNY EAGLE 0: Peter Potthoff made four saves for the Stags (3-1-1) and Matt Willis stopped six shots for the Scots (3-1-1) at West Buxton.

WAYNFLETE 2, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Omar Abdille and Tucker Geoffroy had first-half goals and the Flyers (3-0) recorded their third shutout of the season, downing the Panthers (1-2) at Portland.

CAPE ELIZABETH 1, GREELY 0: Tim Takach scored off a pass by Brian Brett early in the second half to lead the Capers (3-0) over the Rangers (3-1) at Cumberland.

Elijah Leverett had eight saves for Greely, and Cam Brown had four saves for the shutout.

WESTBROOK 4, MASSABESIC 0: Andrew Sousa had two goals in less than seven minutes to get Westbrook (1-3-1) started in a win over Massabesic (0-5) at Waterboro.

Bizimana Mporwiki scored midway through the half to give the Blue Blazes a 3-0 halftime lead.

Ben Morgan added the final goal with 30 seconds left.

YORK 13, LAKE REGION 0: Pierce Twohig had three goals and an assist and Kevin Bond and Cam Schilling each scored twice as the Wildcats (4-0) rolled past the visiting Lakers (1-3-1).

Theo Bullock, Liam Langaas and Tyler Martin chipped in two assists apiece.

KENNEBUNK 2, SANFORD 0: Bobby Kramer and Harrison Hall scored first-half goals and Christian Elkington made five saves as Kennebunk (4-1) shut out visiting Sanford (2-3).

John Grillo and Luke Butterfield provided assists.

Cody McFarland stopped seven shots for Sanford.

SACOPEE VALLEY 1, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Lucas LeBorgne scored with 20 minutes left as the visiting Hawks (3-1-1) edged the Raiders (1-4).

Mitchell Barton got the shutout with three saves. Mike Creegan made two saves for Fryeburg.

MARSHWOOD 7, THORNTON ACADEMY 2: Alex McLean scored twice to help the Hawks (4-1) down the Golden Trojans (0-5) at South Berwick.

Tyler Lammers, TJ Osborne, Stevie Smith, Tyler Hickey and Jon Hartman also scored for Marshwood.

Drew Landry and Matt LeBlanc had Thornton’s goals.

TRAIP ACADEMY 6, WELLS 0: The Rangers (1-3-1) got goals from Gabriel Ewabuchi, Ned Masury, Zach Benton, Brandon Metevier, Lucas Edwards and Ralph Humiston and shut out the Warriors (0-5) at Kittery.
