AUGUSTA — Maine is expected to receive $1.4 million to help low-income reidents pay their heating bills this winter.

The money is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ latest release of funds for its Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program. The program serves about 48,000 households in Maine.
