NORTH BERWICK – Ben Valencia scored on a 6-yard run with 1:17 left Friday night to give Noble a 25-22 victory against Massabesic in a Western Class A football game.

Trailing 19-15, Massabesic (0-4) took the lead on a 4-yard touchdown run by quarterback Jake Derochers. It was the second scoring run of the game for Desrochers, who also threw a touchdown pass.

Valencia finished with 60 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Jake Bagley added 54 yards rushing and one touchdown for Noble (1-3).

Noble quarterback Ethan Beaulier finished with 123 yards rushing and 73 yards passing.

 

WELLS 51, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Louis Ditomasso rushed for two touchdowns as the Warriors (3-1) opened a 39-0 halftime lead against the Raiders (1-3) at Wells.

Wells also received scoring runs from Chad Whitten, Paul McDonough, Mike Moats, J.T. Sherburne and Cole Boston.

Joey Spinelli scored on an 80-yard fumble return.

 

YORK 41, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 14: Aaron Pruger rushed for touchdowns of 18 and 31 yards, and Bradley Stevens from 1 and 25 yards as York (3-1) defeated the Patriots (0-4) at Gray.

 

LEWISTON 28, BRUNSWICK 12: After Jess Keene scored on the opening drive, the Blue Devils recovered a fumble on the kickoff, with Chris Madden’s touchdown capping a six-play drive as Lewiston (4-0) opened a 14-0 lead against the visiting Dragons (2-2).

Joe McKinnon added a second-quarter touchdown and Keene a third-period TD to open a 28-0 lead entering the final period.

 

YARMOUTH 62, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Brady Neujahr threw two of his three touchdown passes during a 42-point first period as Yarmouth (4-0) beat the Hawks (0-4) at South Hiram.

Bill Clabby scored on runs of 30 and 32 yards.

 

GREELY 26, LAKE REGION 0: Justin Moore scored on a 4-yard run and a 48-yard punt return to help the Rangers (3-1) put up 26 first-half points against the Lakers (0-4) at Naples.

Ethan Wyman and Svenn Jacobsen also had touchdown runs.

 

MARSHWOOD 38, KENNEBUNK 36: Ryan Tobey kicked a 20-yard field goal with 6.2 seconds left as the Hawks (2-2) topped the Rams (1-3) at Kennebunk.

Troy Pappas ran for two touchdowns and threw a 14-yard TD strike to Jack Verrill for the Hawks. David Mick, who rushed for more than 200 yards, added TD runs of 52 and 23 yards.

Matt Dube of Kennebunk threw four touchdown passes, including three of 73, 27 and 11 yards to Ethan Drigotas. He also had a 60-yard TD pass to Van Brazz.

Nicco DeLorenzo had a 57-yard scoring run and Clayton Spang kicked a 23-yard field goal for the Rams.

MARANACOOK 32, BOOTHBAY REGION 6: Luke Emery rushed for a game-high 194 yards on 27 carries and scored three touchdowns to help Maranacook (2-2) handle the Seahawks (0-4) at Boothbay Harbor.

“Oh, it was definitely a big win,” Maranacook Coach Joe Emery said. “We still have a good shot at the playoffs now.”

The Black Bears, who have won two straight, trailed 6-0 after the first quarter but put the game away with a 16-point second.

Connor Lacasse rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown for Maranacook.

Ian Palmer and Chris Pettengill each had 11 tackles to lead the Black Bears.
