WESTBROOK – Manny Vincent had 22 carries for 247 yards and five touchdowns Saturday to lead Westbrook to a 36-24 victory against Gorham in a Western Class A football game at Olmsted Field.

Vincent scored three times in the first half for the Blue Blazes (1-3), his first from 9 yards in the first quarter to make it 6-6. Graham Strondak followed with a successful conversion rush. Nick Kilborn previously had a 3-yard score for Gorham (0-4).

After Kilborn scored on a 1-yard rush in the second quarter to put Gorham ahead 12-8, Vincent charged 50 yards for his next score and followed with a 2-point rush to make it 16-12.

Strondak, who had 19 carries for 109 yards, grabbed an interception to set up Vincent’s next touchdown, a 26-yarder for a 22-12 halftime lead.

Cam Alexander had a 50-yard TD run to pull the Rams within 22-18 early in the third quarter. Vincent followed with a 33-yard scamper, and another conversion rush by Strondak increased the lead to 30-18.

Kilborn got Gorham within 30-24 with a 3-yard TD run early in the fourth quarter, but Vincent squelched any comeback chance with an 8-yard touchdown run.

Jake Gardner recovered two fumbles for the Blue Blazes.

LISBON 56, FREEPORT 14: Tobey Harrington rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns for the Greyhounds (4-0), who took a 36-6 halftime lead against the Falcons (1-3) at Freeport.

Lisbon quarterback Luke Caron completed all seven of his passes for 194 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown pass to Cam Graf.

Zack Splude added a pair of touchdowns for the Greyhounds on runs of 2 and 4 yards.

Freeport scored on a 40-yard run by Cory Aldecoa and a 10-yard run by Jared Polley.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 47, POLAND 0: Izaak Mills had a pair of 12-yard touchdown runs and also scored on a 37-yard fumble return as Mountain Valley (4-0) downed the Knights (0-4) at Poland.

Taylor Bradley added a 15-yard touchdown run and caught a 24-yard scoring pass from Cam Kaubris.

MORSE 27, WINSLOW 17: D’Vaughn Myers ran for 105 yards and two touchdowns, and Kevin McKellar ran for 57 yards and a touchdown and passed for 98 yards to lead the Shipbuilders (1-3) over the Black Raiders (0-4) at Winslow.

TRAIP ACADEMY 37, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Tommy Ginn had a strong game running the ball to lead the Rangers (3-1) over the Seagulls (0-4) at Kittery.

OXFORD HILLS 14, MT. ARARAT 8: Andy Ripley caught a scoring pass from Logan Sanborn and Danny Taylor ran for a touchdown in the second quarter as the Vikings (1-3) built a 14-0 halftime lead and held off the Eagles (0-4) at South Paris.

Linebacker Jordan Croteau led Oxford Hills on defense.
