ALFRED — The defense rested its case this afternoon at the murder trial of Jason Twardus, now in its 13th day at York County Superior Court.

Tomorrow morning, prosecutor William Stokes and defense attorney Daniel Lilley are expected to make closing arguments. Justice G. Arthur Brennan will then instruct the jury and send them into a private room to begin deliberations.

More than 50 witnesses testified over the course of the two and a half week trial, including Twardus himself.

It remains to be seen how long the jury will take to decide a verdict.
