Portland High will hold its 15th annual golf scramble Saturday at Riverside. The tournament benefits the basketball and soccer programs. The Maine USATF fall cross country program continues Sunday at Smiling Hill Farm in Westbrook. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m., a course walk will be held at 1 p.m. and the race at 2 p.m. The meet is the second of seven preliminary meets around the state. The entry fee is $4 and USATF registration is also required and available at the meet ($15 for youth, $30 for adult). Ribbons will be awarded in several age categories. Central Maine Community College will hold its alumni basketball games Oct. 23. The current women’s team will face the alumna women at 1 p.m., followed by the junior varsity men against 1980 to 2000 alumni men at 3, and the varsity men against 2000 to 2010 alumni men at 5.
