PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – Police in New Hampshire say there will be a heightened police presence at Portsmouth High School following the arrest of three students after a teacher discovered what is being described as a “hit list.”

The Portsmouth Herald says the list had the names of 19 students and a teacher.

Police say the three students arrested are juveniles and their cases will be handled in juvenile court. They could also be subject to school discipline.

Deputy Police Chief Stephen DuBois says everyone on the list was interviewed. No one was hurt.

Principal Jeff Collins said parents have been notified. Aside from the police presence, school will operate normally, Collins said.
