The book follows Morine and his friend Ramsay Peard, a retired CEO, as the pair embark on a journey of self-discovery, humor and whim by canoeing the Connecticut River. stopping and talking to folks along the way, they get a look a issues such as the demise of farming, gay rights and disappearing Main Streets.
