SOUTH PORTLAND — Briana Bower scored on a scramble with 5:49 to play in the first half Saturday and South Portland went on to beat Scarborough 2-1 in a Southern Maine Activities Association field hockey game.

Maraka Soule scored 1:26 into the game for the Red Riots (5-5) and Rachael Millett answered for the Red Storm (9-1) off a pass from Sarah Bunting with 25:25 remaining in the first half.

Scarborough suffered its first loss in two years.

CHEVERUS 1, MARSHWOOD 0: Brooke Flaherty scored one minute into overtime to lift Cheverus past Marshwood in Portland.

To open overtime, Taylor Witham of Cheverus (8-2) brought the ball down the right side. The Stags were awarded a penalty corner and Sarah LaQuerre got a pass to Flaherty to set up the winning goal against the Hawks (4-6-1).

Cheverus goalie Cindy Clark made six saves.

YORK 1, GREELY 0: Cari Posternak scored from Shelby Spencer five minutes into overtime as York (10-1) beat Greely (7-4) at Cumberland.

Amanda Kasbohm made three saves for York. Hannah McCord and Maggie Bower totaled six saves for Greely.

BONNY EAGLE 5, MASSABESIC 3: Nicole Dimidio and Peyton Dostie scored two goals apiece to lead Bonny Eagle (7-3) over Massabesic (5-5) at Waterboro.

The Scots led 3-2 at halftime, but Taylor Bergeron tied it 4:10 into the second. Dostie scored the winner two minutes later and Natasha Vayda made it 5-3.

ROCKLAND 1, BELFAST 1: Madison Cummings scored for Belfast (6-2-3) after 10 minutes before Brooke Fournier tied it for visiting Rockland (3-7-1) less than eight minutes later.

Belfast got off two shots in the final 1:15 of the second overtime, but Ciara Smalley stopped one and the other went wide. Smalley finished with 13 saves.

Julia Ward and Sierra Wood combined for three saves for the Lions. Helene Wallace of Belfast and Hannah Plourde of Rockland had assists.

WAYNFLETE 1, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Jo Moore scored with one second left in the second overtime as the Flyers (5-4-1) edged the Seagulls (3-8) at Portland.

Ari Bouchard had 23 saves for Old Orchard. Kalina Mills needed five saves for the shutout.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1, FALMOUTH 0: Bailey Frost scored 1:23 into the game as the Raiders (10-2) beat Falmouth (5-7) at Fryeburg.

Charlotte Lewis set up the goal with a pass off a penalty corner.

Brittany Fox earned the shutout with seven saves. Kelsey Freeman made 21 saves for the Yachtsmen.

WESTBROOK 6, PORTLAND 0: Olivia Marsden scored three goals as the Blue Blazes (9-1) cruised past the Bulldogs (4-5) at Westbrook.

Sarah Howard added two goals and Kayla Winton had one for Westbrook.

Maryssa Arsenault needed three saves for the shutout. Kathleen Dalbec had 10 saves for Portland.

KENNEBUNK 5, DEERING 0: Taylor Radomski scored twice, and Abby Micca had a goal and an assist to lead Kennebunk (7-3-1) over visiting Deering (0-9).

Molly Centore and Emily Vieira also scored.

Caley Presby made 23 saves for Deering, which was held without a shot on the goalie.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 10, POLAND 0: Katherine Millett and Hannah Hearn each had two goals and two assists as the Panthers (11-1) handled the Knights (0-11) at Yarmouth.

Frances Leslie added two goals, and Katie Cawley, Renee Lamoreau, Megan Fortier and Kylie Dalbac also scored.

Melora Lavoie stopped 34 shots for Poland.

DEERING 2, BIDDEFORD 0: Aarika Viola and Alexis Elowitch scored, and Jen Lynch made seven saves as the Rams (6-3) shut out the Tigers (2-8) at Biddeford.

Veronica Mitchell had an assist.

WAYNFLETE 0, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Savanna Poole made eight saves for the Panthers (1-5-2), and Emma Longcope finished with seven for Waynflete (4-2-1) at Yarmouth.

CHEVERUS 7, KENNEBUNK 2: Down 2-1, Sadie Lyons and Hannah Noonan each scored twice to pace the Stags (6-2-1) past the Rams (3-6-1) at Portland.

Ali Thomas, Abby Maker and Darby Rawcliffe also scored for Cheverus.

Lauren Errico and Alex Leonardi scored for Kennebunk.

WINDHAM 1, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Bebe Butts scored in the 37th minute and Morgan Dolby made six saves, including one on Jenacee Bradbury with three minutes remaining, to lift Windham (5-2-2) over the Red Riots (4-4-1) at South Portland.

GREELY 5, FALMOUTH 0: Kelly Burrell and Sammi Toorish scored two goals each to lead Greely (6-3) over the Yachtsmen (6-3) at Falmouth.

Audrey Parolin also scored for the Rangers, who led 1-0 at halftime. Lindsey Arsenault made six saves for the shutout.

Elizabeth Estabrook stopped seven shots for the Yachtsmen.

BRUNSWICK 6, LEWISTON 0: Allie Walton scored three goals as the Dragons (8-0) downed Lewiston (0-7) at Brunswick. Morgan Libby, Rachel Mororney and Becky Champagne also scored.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 2, WELLS 1: Sam Nardone scored 6:10 into the second half as the Raiders (1-9) beat Wells (0-8-1) at Fryeburg.

After Sophie Lamb scored for the Warriors after 1:44, Jamie Gullickson tied it at 15:26.

On the go-ahead play, Megan MacGillivary passed upfield to Nardone, who came in from the left side, got around one defender and beat the keeper to the upper left corner.

Maggie McConkey made 24 saves for the Raiders. Catherine Tufts handled 20 shots for Wells.

SANFORD 6, MASSABESIC 1: Allyson Legere scored three goals as the Redskins (7-1-1) took a 4-0 lead and beat the Mustangs (0-8-1) at Sanford.

Sam Bryan, Heather Leblanc and Taylor Littlefield also scored for Sanford. Taylor Flood added two assists.

Ceara Pelletier answered for Massabesic.
