The Cheverus High School junior varsity golf team won the Golf Jamboree, a JV tournament held Oct. 7 at Gorham Country Club. Team members included Adam Batchelder, Bryan Cross, Jake Doughty and James Kapothanasis. Doughty was the low medalist with a 41.

 

Tony Mancini of Portland got his second hole-in-one in less than a month, acing the 133-yard sixth hole at Falmouth Country Club on Oct. 5. Mancini used a 6-iron for the shot. His playing partners were John Gerber, Tony Galli and Tony Galli II.

Mancini previously scored a hole-in-one on Sept. 11 on the third hole at Bethel Inn and Country Club.

 

Saba Nappi of Portland aced the fourth hole at Riverside Golf Course on Oct. 1. Nappi used a 7-iron for the 142-yard shot, which was witnessed by Tom Deluca and Rocco Toppi.

Don Holden made his third career hole-in-one and aced the 202-yard seventh hole at the Woodlands Club for the second time on Oct. 5. Holden used a 3-wood for the shot, which was witnessed by Eric Crouse, John Isacke and Kevin O’Rourke.

 

John Goudreau of North Andover, Mass., used a pitching wedge to record a hole-in-one Monday on the 118-yard 14th hole at Point Sebago Golf Club. Stephen MacDougall witnessed the shot.
