Two state committees preparing recommendations about how to implement federal health care reform will hold a public hearing Tuesday in Augusta.
Gov. John Baldacci’s Steering Committee on Health Reform and the Maine Advisory Committee on Health Systems Development have prepared a draft report for Gov.-elect Paul LePage and the new Legislature. It contains recommendations about how the state could implement the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which was signed into law by President Obama earlier this year.
The hearing will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14, in Room 228 in the State House in Augusta.
