Rivers in Maine are running high after heavy rain Sunday and overnight, but no widespread flooding is expected.

Much of the state remains under a flood warning as the storm slowly pulls away into eastern Canada, the National Weather Service said.

Heavy rain fell at times Sunday and strong gusty winds caused some power outages, but Central Maine Power said today that only a few isolated areas remain without power.

The National Weather Service said a few showers may linger into tonight and unsettled and colder than normal temperatures are expected through the rest of the week.
