BRUNSWICK — The cause of a Tuesday afternoon fire that forced officials to evacuate a manufacturing facility owned by Bath Iron Works remains under investigation.

Capt. Roger Dionne said firefighters were called to the East Brunswick Manufacturing facility on 16 Mallet Park Drive in Brunswick around 3 p.m. for a fire inside the building.

Dionne said fire crews from Brunswick, Bath and West Bath spent about 90 minutes extinguishing the fire which broke out in a wood-framed wall around a ventilator fan.

No one was injured, and damage to the facility was minimal, Dionne said.
