A family of eight was displaced from its home at 54 Boundary Road in Standish by an afternoon house fire. Firefighters were called to the scene at 12:58 p.m.
The fire, which was accidental, was confined to a single room on the second floor of the three-story farm house. The rest of the house sustained smoke and water damage.
No injuries were reported.
