The storm had knocked out power at 2,921 homes and businesses across the state this morning.

Central Maine Power Co. reported it had extra crews on hand to help with any outages.

John Carroll, power company spokesman, said most of the outages are along the southern coast.

“So far the weather has been cold enough to keep the snow from building up too heavily on the trees. That reduces the risk of broken limbs or falling trees that take down our lines,” he said.
