NEW FACES

Tim Booth has joined Connectivity Point Design and Installation LLC as a sales engineer. Booth has more than 11 years of experience in providing design and installation of voice, data and video solutions. 

Erin Ovalle has joined WMTW-TV (Channel 8) as its weekday morning co-anchor with Shannon Moss. Ovalle was previously with WGME, where she began reporting and anchoring. She began her career at WEIU in Illinois, then moved to Michigan to be a reporter. 

Sarah Frisk has joined iBec Creative as a junior Web developer. Frisk will assist in the development of websites along with helping clients update and maintain successful internet marketing strategies. Her technical expertise includes PHP, Smarty, HTML/CSS, Javascript, and Ruby on Rails. 

Melissa Curtis has been named human resources supervisor for Care & Comfort, a statewide home health and mental health care agency. Curtis will oversee human resources at the agency’s Waterville and Wilton offices, recruiting, hiring and training applicants. She will also work as community liaison. Curtis worked in bank management for the past eight years. 

Paul H. Sighinolfi, an attorney with Rudman & Winchell Counselors at Law in Bangor, has been appointed executive director and chair of the Maine Workers’ Compensation Board. Gov. Paul LePage appointed Sighinolfi to the post. He co-authored “Maine Employer’s Guide: Worker’s Compensation.” Sighinolfi is a member of the board of editors and contributes to Maine Business and Employment Law. In December 2009, the Maine Supreme Court appointed Sighinolfi as a trustee of the Lawyers Fund for Client Protection.

PROMOTIONS

Christopher E. Whitney was promoted to vice president of Actuarial Designs & Solutions Inc. in Scarborough. Whitney joined the company in 2003. 

Glen Stimson was promoted to chief financial officer at Sellers Publishing Inc. in South Portland. Stimson, of Scarborough, has been business manager since 2001. He was previously a controller for Wood Structures Inc. in Biddeford and a financial analyst for Avis Rent-a-Car. 

Geoff Low was named deputy fire chief of the Auburn Fire Department. Low, of Dixfield, has 24 years of experience in the fire service industry and has been with the Auburn Fire Department for more than 10 years. Since April 2010, he has served as acting chief. 

Lori Boucouvalas was named vice president and branch manager of Biddeford Savings Bank’s Scarborough branch on Route 1. Boucouvalas has been with Biddeford Savings for 10 years and has 30 years of experience in the banking industry. She began her career at Biddeford Savings as an executive administrative assistant and was most recently branch manager of the bank’s main office in Biddeford.

GENERAL

Gene McKeever, a marine insurance specialist with Allen Insurance and Financial in Camden, was named to the company’s board of directors. McKeever joined the company in 1992 and has worked in the firm’s marine and energy division, serving historic sailing ships, boatbuilders and dealers, marinas and owners of commercial vessels.
