AUGUSTA — Hundreds of people will be in attendance when the Maine Wind Working Group holds its second wind energy conference in Augusta.
The two-day event at the Augusta Civic Center kicks off this morning.
Organizers say the event features more than 50 speakers — including 10 national experts — who will talk about small and large wind turbines, onshore and offshore wind power, community projects and other wind topics.
There will also be an exhibition hall with more than 30 exhibitors from Maine and across the U.S.
Sue Jones of the Maine Wind Working Group says the focus of the conference is to grow wind energy in Maine one project at a time.
