Awards

University of Southern Maine: Abbigail Shirk of South Portland has been awarded the U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin Gilman International Scholarship for Study Abroad and will spend the spring semester in Jordan, studying Arabic and international relations.

Wellesley, Mass., College: Katie Judd of Brunswick has been named a fellow of the Madeleine Korbel Albright Institute for Global Affairs, which includes intensive study with international relations and public policy experts. She plans to spend the summer in Brazil on a college-funded internship.
