LANCASTER, N.H. — A Vermont woman has been sentenced to one year in prison on charges in a head-on crash in Randolph, N.H., that killed her mother, daughter and a Maine woman.
Forty-two-year-old Diane Silsby of Lunenberg made no statements at Monday’s sentencing and will be able to serve three months of the term on home confinement on the condition of good behavior.
Silsby had been convicted by a Coos County grand jury who said she was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the July 3, 2009, crash.
The crash killed Silsby’s mother, 83-year-old Leona Dunn of Lancaster, 15-year-old Nicole Silsby and 26-year-old Rachel Metivier of Lewiston, Maine, who was in the other vehicle.
The Caledonian Record says last month she pleaded guilty to three felony counts of negligent homicide.
