Maine State Music Theatre opens for a rare winter show to present a sweetheart-themed concert for Valentine’s Day.
The show, “Our Funny Valentines,” stars the actresses who appeared in last summer’s hit show “Always … Patsy Cline,” Charis Leos and Jenny Lee Stern. They will perform an intimate concert at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 in Studzinski Hall on the Bowdoin College campus.

The women will reminisce a bit with a few songs from the musical, perform their personal favorites and give the audience a preview of the 2011 summer season. Music director and pianist Edward Reichert will accompany the singers.
The evening will begin in Moulton Union with a cocktail and dessert party, where 10 silent auction items will be available. The party then moves to Studzinski Hall.
The concert is a fundraiser for Maine State, with proceeds benefiting the education department. The ticket price is $100, $75 of which is tax deductible. Call 725-8760, Ext. 15.
