• Buffalo Wild Wings will be opening a restaurant and sports bar at 85 Western Ave. in South Portland on March 7. it will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily, and sports fans can look forward to big screens and wall-to-wall HDTVs.
• More rumors are running around town, this time about Hugo’s, the venerable Portland restaurant at 88 Middle St. co-owned by James Beard Award-winning chef Rob Evans and his wife/business partner, Nancy Pugh. We ran into Arlin Smith, the general manager at Hugo’s, the other day, and he said rumors that Hugo’s is closed or is closing are not true. Whew.
