FRYEBURG – Nicole Taylor scored 14 points and Stephanie Gallagher added 12 as York completed a perfect regular season Thursday night with a 56-21 victory against Fryeburg Academy in a Western Maine Conference schoolgirl basketball game.

Emily Campbell and Chelsea Morley each finished with eight points for York (18-0), which led 20-9 after one quarter.

Skye Dole had seven points and Katie Heggie added six for Fryeburg (5-13).

VALLEY 48, HYDE 28: Cindy Schultz scored 18 points for the Cavaliers (11-6), who used a 19-2 run over the final six minutes to put away the Phoenix (3-11) at Bath.

Valley got seven points from Shannon Rich and six from Schultz in the fourth quarter.

Sage Harris led Hyde with 14 points. Teagan Laweryson chipped in 11 for Valley.

MARSHWOOD 58, NOBLE 34: Jorden Mitchell and Tatum Schladenhauffen each scored 10 points and combined for 13 rebounds as the Hawks (8-10) defeated the Knights (2-16) at South Berwick.

Mitchell scored seven in the first quarter as the Hawks built a 21-4 lead.

Mitchell and Alli Schoff finished with seven rebounds, Schladenhauffen had six rebounds and Abby Hyson added four steals.

Chandler Waterman led Noble with 11 points. Megan Pelkey finished with 10.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 56, LINCOLN ACADEMY 20: Ericka Christensen scored 11 points and Alanna Vose had seven as the Panthers (16-2) took an 18-1 first-quarter lead against the Eagles (5-13) at Waldoboro.

Both players finished with 15 points. Vose also had five assists.

Laura Soohey scored nine for Lincoln Academy.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 50, POLAND 35: Charlotte Esancy and Blair Haggett combined for 12 points in the fourth quarter as the Panthers (10-8) used an 18-11 run to put away the Knights (2-16) at Yarmouth.

Esancy finished with 12 points. Haggett and Eliza Gendron each had 10.

Morgan Copp paced Poland with eight points.

MT. ARARAT 48, OXFORD HILLS 30: Leah Hitchock scored 20 points to lead the Eagles (9-9) past the Vikings (8-10) at Topsham.

SACOPEE VALLEY 37, BUCKFIELD 23: Catherine Murch scored 16 points for the Hawks (9-8), who pulled away from the Bucks (3-15) in the fourth quarter at South Hiram.

Murch and Amanda Villineau combined for 11 fourth-quarter points as Sacopee Valley finished on a 19-8 run.

Allison Walton of Brunswick was named the Gatorade girls’ soccer player of the year for the second consecutive season.
