DOVER, N.H. – Peter Lajeunesse had a hat trick Saturday to lead Marshwood to a 7-1 victory against Cape Elizabeth in a schoolboy hockey game at Dover Ice Arena.

Lajeunesse also had an assist for the Hawks (13-2) against the Capers (10-5). Aaron Gootee added a goal and an assist, and Andrew Rollins had two assists for Marshwood.

DEERING 4, BONNY EAGLE 2: Anthony Verville and Taylor Py each had a goal and an assist as Deering (9-8) beat Bonny Eagle (4-12) at Gorham.

Connor Petropoulos scored an unassisted short-handed goal in the first period for the Rams. The score remained 1-0 until the third.

Verville opened the third with a goal 21 seconds in. The Scots then tied it on goals by Josh Bagley and Shawn Parmenter.

Danny Patenaude broke the tie for Deering 31 seconds later, and Patenaude assisted Py on an empty-net goal with two seconds left.

SCARBOROUGH 4, GORHAM 0: Brian McKeown scored three goals and Jake Gross added a pair of assists to lead the Red Storm (6-9) past the Rams (5-11) at Gorham.

Jack Rousselle also scored and Doug Pitts stopped 12 shots for the shutout.

Nate Holloran finished with 28 saves for Gorham.

THORNTON ACADEMY 6, KENNEBUNK 2: Rob Downing had two goals and an assist for the Golden Trojans (10-5), who overcame a 2-1 deficit with five unanswered goals to beat the Rams (5-11-1) at Biddeford.

C.J. Maksut and Nick Chen each added a goal and an assist.

D.J. Robinson and Ned Richards scored for Kennebunk.

YORK 6, GARDINER 2: Connor O’Brien scored two goals to lead York (10-5) over Gardiner (5-9) at Hallowell.

York took a 2-0 lead on first-period goals by George Lindbom and Jared Claussen. Gardiner tied it two minutes into the second before the Wildcats scored four goals in fewer than 10 minutes.

O’Brien started the rally with back-to-back goals. Anthony Figlioli and Craig Decato also scored for York.

SWIMMING

KVAC: Morse won both titles in the league championship meet at Bath.

The boys finished with 250.5 points to beat out Brunswick (235.50), Messalonskee (171) and Lewiston (164). The Morse girls finished with 275 points, followed by Messalonskee (227), Cony (164) and Mt. Ararat (157).

The Shipbuilders had one individual boys’ winner — Guerin Morissette in the 200 individual medley — but won with depth and two victorious relay teams.

Victoria Weber of Cony was named the top girls’ performer.

Arthur Conover of Messalon-skee and Jake Olsen of Morse shared the honor as the top boys’ performer.
