GORHAM — Brad Perry and Jacob Webster scored and Ricky Henward stopped 24 shots as Westbrook beat Gardiner 2-1 in a schoolboy hockey game Monday at USM Arena.

Perry recorded his first varsity goal on a wrister that got passed Gardiner goalie Brad Moore (16 saves), who was screened on the play, with 3:55 left in the second period. Chris Celeste assisted.

Webster put Westbrook (3-13) ahead 2-0 at 6:58 of the third following assists from John Grondin and Tommy Lemay.

Matt MacDonald of Gardiner (5-10) put in a rebound of Cam Sullivan’s shot with 30 seconds left. Henward was tested in the final seconds as Gardiner had a few chances to tie it.

 

GREELY 4, WINSLOW 1: Drew Hackett and Ted Hart each had a goal and an assist as the Rangers (12-2-1) handled the Black Raiders (4-12) at Sukee Arena in Winslow.

Hackett made it 2-0 on a goal set up by Hart 20 seconds into the second period. Hart scored the final goal from Hackett 6:24 into the third. Devyn Rogers scored from Justin Murphy, also in the third.

Matt Labbe made 15 saves for Greely; Cameron Tibbetts had 42 saves for Winslow.
