Talk on Jote Jones’ scow

The Lincoln County Historical Association will begin its annual Winter Lecture Series with a talk by Doreen Conboy at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the 911 Communications Center behind the Lincoln County Courthouse at Routes 1 and 27.

Conboy’s talk will detail “The World of Captain Jote Jones and His Scow on the Sheepscot.” Admission is free, but donations are welcome. For details, call 882-9628 or e-mail giova@wiscasset.net

Wedding expo at three sites

The 9th Annual Greater York Region Seacoast Denim and Diamonds Wedding Expo will be held Sunday at three York Harbor venues: from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the York Harbor Inn and Stage Neck Inn and from 2 to 4 p.m. at Foster’s Downeast Clambake.

The events will feature 35 vendors, limousine shuttle to venues, music, raffles and more. Admission is free. For more information, call 363-4422.

York Public Library, at 15 Long Sands Road, will host a concert with Harvey Reid and Joyce Andersen at 3 p.m. Sunday. The performance is free and open to the public.

Mushers benefit libraries

The Sanford Institution for Savings “Swing Dogs” mushers team will participate in the Mousam Mush Human Dogsled Race at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gowens Park, off Main Street.
