BRIDGTON – The First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, at 33 South High St., has named the Rev. Annette Mott of Bowdoinham as its interim pastor.

Mott assumes the pastoral duties of the Rev. Richard L. Bennett, who retired in 2010.

Mott studied religion at Wellesley College in Massachusetts and holds a master of divinity degree from Bangor Theological Seminary.

She previously served as an interim pastor at Woodfords Congregational Church in Portland.

Mott is married to David Engler. The couple have three grown sons and one granddaughter.

Church services are at 10 a.m. Sunday. Child care is available.
