FREEPORT — One person had to be flown by a Lifeflight helicopter to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston after their all terrain vehicle crashed on Wardtown Road in Freeport tonight.

A police dispatcher said the single vehicle crash took place at 5:49 p.m. in the vicinity of 69 Wardtown Road. The road had to be shut down, but has since reopened.

The Maine Warden Service was called in to investigate the crash. No other details are available at this time.
