Petite Jacqueline, the new French bistro from Steve and Michelle Corry (owner of Five-Fifty-Five) opened last Wednesday. You can check out its new menu at bistropj.com, and yes, onion soup, escargot, cassoulet, boeuf bourguignon, coq au vin and other classic French dishes are all on there.

When the Chebeague Island Inn reopens on May 14, it will have a new indoor-outdoor bar called Sunset Landing. According to the inn, the new shiny copper bar seats eight and will have custom-made stools created by Maine furniture designer Gregg Lipton. The bar will serve local beers and retro cocktails such as the Old Fashioned and the French 75, and the bar menu will include small plates such as crunchy lobster corn fritters and local oysters on the half shell.

Miyake is moving from 129 Spring St. to a space by the Portland Harbor Hotel, next to Paciarino.

Little Lad’s Bakery and Cafe, 482 Congress St., has re-opened.

A new Subway shop is coming to Scarborough at 594 U.S. Route 1. The store will have a breakfast menu.
