SOUTH PORTLAND — Water and traffic are both flowing again thanks to the repair of a burst pipe along on Westbrook Street near the intersection of Western Avenue.

Water came out “like a geyser” near the Irving gas station early this morning, about 2:30, according to a South Portland official.

Two lanes of southbound traffic on Western Avenue had been closed to allow a repair crew to fix the problem.
