CONWAY, N.H. — It could take weeks before authorities determine the cause of death for Krista Dittmeyer, the 20-year-old Portland woman whose body was recovered from a pond at Cranmore Mountain Resort.

Authorities are awaiting the results of toxicology reports, which could take six to eight weeks, Senior Assistant Attorney General Jane Young said today.

Dittmeyer’s death is considered suspicious. Her body was pulled from Duck Pond, a snowmaking pond by a maintenance facility at the ski resort, on Wednesday. Her car was found Saturday in a nearby parking area running, with its lights on and her 14-month-old daughter in the back seat.
