AUGUSTA — Memorial Day is still a month away, but many of Maine’s state parks are already open.

Sebago Lake State Park in Casco opened on Friday, joining others in starting up. Park Manager Andy Haskell says offseason camping rates will be in effect through May 22.

Lake St. George State Park in Liberty also has opened for camping. And Park Manager Bob Crocker at Ferry Beach State Park in Saco wants visitors to know that the park is now open.
