PORTLAND — Camille Auger and Emily Kessel scored three goals each Saturday to lead Kennebunk to a 12-10 victory against Waynflete in a schoolgirl lacrosse game.

The teams matched goal for goal for most of the game, and the Flyers (1-1) were within a goal until the final 57 seconds when Rose Bryant clinched it for the Rams (3-0).

Monica Thompson led the Flyers with three goals. Katherine Torrey had 15 saves.

FREEPORT 20, CAMDEN HILLS 5: Alexandra Mitch had three goals and three assists as the Falcons (2-1) downed the Windjammers (0-2) at Freeport.

Aubrey Pennell, Jess Hench, Becca Lane and Eli Pier had three goals each for Freeport.

Caroline Matteo paced Cam-den Hills with two goals. Rebecca Stoutamyer made 15 saves.

PORTLAND 12, GARDINER 8: Catherine Flaherty and Zoe Swaffar scored three goals apiece as the Bulldogs (2-1) held off Gardiner (2-2) at Portland.

Drew Barry added two goals and three assists for the Bulldogs, who led 5-3 at halftime.

Brooke Davis and Rebecca Paradis scored twice each for Gardiner.

YARMOUTH 16, SCARBOROUGH 11: Danielle Torres and Devin Simsarian scored five goals apiece to lead Yarmouth (2-0) over the Red Storm (2-1) at Scarborough.

The Clippers fell behind 3-0, then rallied to take an 11-6 halftime lead.

Maggie Smith had five goals and an assist, and Meg Kirsch made 12 saves for Scarborough.

SOUTH PORTLAND 17, LINCOLN ACADEMY 2: Nikki Laplante had four goals and an assist, and Anh Nguyen scored three times to lead the Red Riots (1-0) against the Eagles (1-2) at South Portland.

Felicia Farnham chipped in a goal and four assists for South Portland.

THORNTON ACADEMY 16, MORSE 5: Erin Kany had four goals and three assists to lead Thornton Academy (1-1) over Morse (2-1) at Saco.

Amanda Cook and Jackie Costello each added three goals and an assist for Thornton.

The Trojans led 7-4 at halftime, then outscored the Shipbuilders 9-1 in the second half.

MT. ARARAT 8, WESTBROOK 4: Haley Michaud scored five goals as Mt. Ararat (2-1) defeated the Blue Blazes (2-1) at Westbrook.

Mt. Ararat led 5-1 at halftime and Westbrook got no closer.

Ciera Bellino paced the Blazes with two goals and an assist.

WINDHAM 15, NOBLE 3: Sam Gifford scored three goals for the Eagles (2-1) against Noble (0-3) at Windham.

Bebe Butts and Leah Chasse scored two goals each for Windham.

MESSALONSKEE 10, CHEVERUS 4: The Eagles (2-1) played a strong second half to pull away from a 3-3 halftime score and defeat the Stags (0-3) at Oakland.

Maddie Kadner and Ally Delisle each had three goals and an assist, and Sara Grenier added two goals and an assist for the Eagles.

Izzy Skinner made 26 saves for Messalonskee.

SOFTBALL

MCAULEY 9, CHEVERUS 1: The visiting Lions (2-0), led by Sam Libby with a double and a triple, took advantage of four errors in a six-run sixth inning to pull away from the Stags (1-3) at Portland.

Shelby Bryant also had a triple, and Gabby Townsend added two singles and an RBI for McAuley.

Cheverus, paced by Jasmyn Welch with a home run and a single, led 1-0 until the Lions tied it in the fourth.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 9, YARMOUTH 3: Charlotte Lewis hit a two-run single, and Maddie Pearson and Maggie McConkey each had RBI singles during a seven-run fifth inning as the Raiders (5-0) pulled away from the Wildcats (3-1) at Fryeburg.

Pearson finished with two hits, two RBI, two stolen bases and two runs.

GREELY 7, LAKE REGION 0: Danielle Cimino pitched a one-hitter with six strikeouts and four walks as the Rangers (4-0) shut out the Lakers (1-2) at Cumberland.

Cimino also had a triple with two RBI.

Caroline Hamilton added two singles, two stolen bases and two runs.

POLAND 12, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Colleen Murphy pitched a three-hit shutout as the Knights (1-4) beat Old Orchard Beach (2-1) at Poland.

Brittina Maheux, Kat Seeley and Katie Love all had triples for Poland.
