BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Kaspars Daugavins and Ryan Potulny each scored two goals to lead the Binghamton Senators to a 6-1 win against the Portland Pirates to take a 3-1 lead in their Eastern Conference semifinals tonight at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

Binghamton can advance to the conference finals with a win tonight at home.

The Senators took a 3-1 lead in the first period on goals by defenseman Mike Hoffman, Daugavins and right wing Ryan Keller.

Portland rookie Luke Adam scored his third goal of the playoffs to forge a short-lived 1-1 tie.
Daugavins and Potulny scored second-period goals to send Binghamton into a 5-1 lead.

Potulny scored his team-high 10th playoff goal with 47 seconds left.
