CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Maine Olympian luger Julia Clukey will speak to students at Carrabassett Valley Academy.

Clukey, who finished 17th in the luge competition at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, will spread her message Tuesday about good decision making to the student athletes at CVA, a high school-level school where students specialize in skiing.

Earlier this year, Clukey had successful surgery in Los Angeles to address her symptoms associated with a defect in the lower portion of the brain which can limit blood flow to the spinal column.

Clukey says she plans to compete in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
