Portland High School students National Latin Honors winners include: Gold medal — Maddie Holton; Silver medals — Cody Cook, Evan Peaco, Margaret Adham, Charlie Gauvin and Ryan Dixon; magna cum laude — Jack Swann, Annette Denekas, Monica Reno, Tiffany Harlow, Alli Briggs and Meghan Kelly; cum laude — Will Chapman, Clare Kenny, Kiril Slussky, Isabel Walter, Jack Carroll, Anthony Green, Tyler Strauss, Jesse Lupica-Nowlin, Rachel Waterhouse, Brett Howell, Emma Chance, Justin Very, Agnes Jackson and Boutavee Kim.

The Maine Bicentennial Award, a full, four-year scholarship to Phillips Andover Academy in Andover, Mass., was awarded to Ravn Jenkins, 14, a Brunswick Junior High School eighth-grader. The award will cover the cost of Jenkins’ tuition and board, estimated at $42,350 per year. Jenkins also received a new laptop as part of the award. She was selected for the honor based on academic excellence and leadership initiatives.
