GORHAM – Mia Rapolla scored seven goals Thursday to help undefeated Gorham pull away to a 15-11 victory against Massabesic in a schooolgirl lacrosse game.

The Rams (6-0) used a 7-4 second-half run to pull away from the Mustangs (3-3).

Kali St. Germain and Meghan Cushing combined for five goals and three assists for Gorham.

Nikki Smith led Massabesic with six goals.

THORNTON ACADEMY 10, PORTLAND 8: Erin Kany had four goals and two assists for the Golden Trojans (4-2), who beat the Bulldogs (3-4) with a 5-2 run in the second half at Portland.

Amanda Cook added three goals and an assist for Thornton.

MARSHWOOD 9, KENNEBUNK 8: Janay Wright got the winner with 8:02 remaining as the Hawks (5-2) edged the Rams (6-1) at South Berwick.

Erica Sedler led the Hawks with four goals, followed by Mallory McPherson with two, and Shelby Minihane and Alli Schoff with one apiece.

SCARBOROUGH 15, CHEVERUS 7: Maggie Smith had five goals, and Mary Scott and Laura Przybylowicz each added three as the Red Storm (5-1) downed the Stags (1-6) at Scarborough.

Scott also had three assists. Meg Kirsch and Tara Buckley combined for 11 saves.

SOUTH PORTLAND 15, BIDDEFORD 3: Victoria Brookings had four goals and Becca Roberts added three as the Red Riots (5-1) routed the Tigers (0-5) at South Portland.

Felicia Farnham had two goals and three assists for South Portland.

DEERING 12, WESTBROOK 6: Zahra Abu scored six goals and Kayla Vachon added four as the Rams (2-4) downed Westbrook (2-5) at Portland.

Sarah Howard scored three goals to lead the Blue Blazes.

SANFORD 13, WINDHAM 11: Haley Nordmann scored four goals, and Nicole Bordeau and Caroline L’Heureux each added three as the Redskins (3-3) edged the Eagles (5-3) at Sanford.

Janelle Canon also had two goals and an assist.

MORSE 18, CAMDEN HILLS 6: Tori Field had six goals and two assists as Morse (5-2) handled the Windjammers (0-7) at Rockport.

FREEPORT 4, POLAND 2: Leigh Wyman finished with 11 strikeouts and one walk to lead the Falcons (3-6) past the Knights (2-9) at Freeport.

Helen Humphrey had a two-run single and Lexi Dietrich added an RBI double for Freeport.

MCAULEY 8, DEERING 3: Kayla Daigle’s two-run homer to left field stretched the lead to 5-1 as the visiting Lions (8-0) started to pull away from the Rams (1-7) at Portland.

Shelby Bryant and Gabby Townsend reached on first-inning errors and scored for a 2-0 McAuley lead. The errors were the first of five committed by Deering.

WELLS 13, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1: Sabrina Link drove home five runs with two first-inning doubles, and also scored once as the Warriors (5-4) opened a 10-1 lead en route to a five-inning victory against the Seagulls (5-4) at Wells.

Kelsey Bragdon held the Seagulls to two hits.

WINDHAM 8, CHEVERUS 4: Julia LoSciuto singled home a run and also scored as the Eagles (2-7) pulled away from Cheverus (1-8) with three runs in the sixth inning at Windham.

Windham took a 1-0 first-inning lead, then made it 4-0 when Billi Lamb, Sarah Tripp, Nicole Giampino scored second-inning runs. But the Stags used three Windham errors to pull within 4-3 in the third.
