GORHAM — Kennebunk scored five times in the seventh inning and held off Gorham for a 7-6 victory Thursday in an SMAA baseball game.

Taylor Landry drew a bases-loaded walk, Nick Emmons hit a three-run double and Tom Snow singled home a run in the winning rally.

Gorham (1-7) pushed across a run in the bottom of the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Steve Broy, then had runners on second and third with two outs before Jake Bear struck out the final batter.

Dylan Cluff added two hits for Kennebunk (2-6).

Zach Speirs had three hits for Gorham, including a two-run triple in the first inning and an RBI single in the third. Chris Hardy and Brendon Joyce each had two hits, and Alex Owens hit an RBI single.

THORNTON ACADEMY 8, BONNY EAGLE 7: Sam Canales hit a two-run double in the seventh to lift the Golden Trojans (4-4) to a victory over the Scots (1-7) at Saco.

Jeff Gelinas had two hits and two RBI for Thornton, and Canales had two hits.

Matt Burnell had two hits and knocked in two runs for Bonny Eagle. Matt Wheeler added two hits and Evan Amell drove in two runs.

BIDDEFORD 11, MASSABESIC 1: Taylor Reuillard hit a grand slam and Patrick Wilson had a two-run single as the Tigers (6-2) scored 10 runs in the fifth and sixth innings to pull away from the Mustangs (0-8) at Biddeford.

Reuillard also had a solo homer in the fourth. Tyler Audie struck out four and gave up no hits in two innings for the win.

Hunter Duncan had an RBI single for Massabesic.

SCARBOROUGH 3, NOBLE 0: Ben Wessel pitched a four-hitter with 14 strikeouts as the Red Storm (7-1) took advantage of two errors to shut out the Knights (1-7) at Scarborough.

Wessel also had two singles and one run scored. Kyle Kelly added an RBI single.

Joe Thyng led Noble with a single and a double.

CHEVERUS 6, SANFORD 1: Joey Royer pitched a four-hitter with nine strikeouts and Jack Bushey had three hits, two runs scored and an RBI as the Stags (7-1) defeated the Redskins (0-8) at Portland.

Nic Lops, Peter Potthoff and Harry Ridge each had two hits for Cheverus. Lops scored twice, Potthoff had two RBI and two stolen bases, and Ridge hit a two-run triple.

POLAND 11, FREEPORT 2: Nick Labbe had two home runs to help power the Knights (2-8) past the Falcons (1-7) at Freeport.

Dillon Douglass pitched into the sixth inning, allowing just two hits and striking out six.

Labbe’s solo homer in the second gave Poland a 2-0 lead. He added a two-run homer during a three-run third.

RICHMOND 4, VALLEY 3: The Bobcats (3-3) scored four runs in the top of the fourth and held on for an East/West Conference win at Bingham.

Ben Carver hit a two-run double for Richmond and earned the win, allowing one run and four hits.

Seth Malloy hit a pair of doubles for Valley (1-4) and drove in a run.

MESSALONSKEE 8, OXFORD HILLS 3: Freshman Devin Warren pitched a complete game to earn his first varsity win as the Eagles (3-6) defeated the Vikings (4-5) in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game at South Paris.

Matt Beauchesne had three singles for Oxford Hills.

LACROSSE

WAYNFLETE 16, LAKE REGION 2: Chris Burke and Matt Butler each scored five goals as the Flyers (5-2) dominated the Lakers (1-5) at Portland.

Henry Cleaves contributed six assists and Waynflete scored six straight goals in the first half to take control.

Joe Turnbull finished with 22 saves for Lake Region.

DEERING 13, MORSE 4: Colton Allen had four goals and Zach Poulin added three goals and four assists to lead Deering (7-1) past the Shipbuilders (4-3) at Bath.

Noah Whittenburg, Anthony Verville and Matt Flaherty added two goals each for the Rams.

Alexander Paulus scored twice for Morse.

FALMOUTH 15, YORK 5: Mitch Tapley and Jack Cooleen each had four goals and the Yachtsmen (5-0) built a 12-1 halftime lead and handled the Wildcats (4-2) at York.

SCARBOROUGH 17, BONNY EAGLE 5: Jon Blaisdell had two goals and five assists as the Red Storm (6-1) defeated the Scots (0-5) at Standish.

Mike Williamson had three goals for Bonny Eagle.
