YORK – Cam Brown and Rob MacDonald each hit a three-run home run to lead Cape Elizabeth to a 9-4 victory over York in a Western Maine Conference baseball game Friday.

Chris Robicheaw added a solo shot in the seventh inning for the Capers (8-1).

Zach Leal went 4 for 4 with two homers, driving in all four runs for the Wildcats (5-4). Leal also pitched four innings in relief, giving up one hit. 

YORK 7, FALMOUTH 5: Joe King had a two-run homer as the Clippers (8-1) got past the Yachtsmen (4-5) at Falmouth.

Yarmouth scored all of its runs in the first inning, starting with a two-run single by Aidan Sullivan. Reliever Connor Murphy held the Clippers scoreless the rest of the way.

Ben Goffin had a solo home run for the Yachtsmen, who had the bases loaded with two outs in the sixth but failed to score.

WESTBROOK 6, KENNEBUNK 3: Zach Gardiner had two hits, including an RBI single, and Zach Collett added a two-run double as the Blue Blazes (9-0) scored six runs in the first two innings and held off the Rams (2-7) at Kennebunk.

Matt Weimer pitched a seven-hitter with no walks and six strikeouts for the win.

Nick Emmons had a double and single for Kennebunk. 

MASSABESIC 2, SANFORD 0: Hunter Duncan had a two-run single in the third inning to lead the Mustangs (1-8) to a victory over the Redskins (0-9) at Waterboro.

Duncan also pitched a four-hitter, striking out eight and walking one.

Redskins pitcher Mike Gouin gave up just three hits, all in the third inning. Ryan Camire had two hits for Sanford.

ROCKLAND 5, WATERVILLE 4: Luke Morrill hit a three-run homer in the third inning and Joey Nelson added a two-run homer in the fifth to help the Tigers (6-3) to a win over the Panthers (7-2) at Rockland.

Morrill allowed two hits and walked four in four innings while striking out three to get the win. 

FREEPORT 5, WELLS 2: Kaleb Farmer hit a two-run single in the top of the fifth as Freeport (2-7) opened a 4-1 lead and defeated the Warriors (6-3) at Wells.

The Falcons took a 2-0 lead in the third on a throwing error when Wells tried to turn a double play.

Spencer Egan pitched a six-hitter, walked three and struck out six for the win.

Wells starter Cole Boston and reliever Josh Ingalls each gave up just one hit.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 8, LEAVITT 1: Brandon Reilly struck out nine in six innings to lead the Eagles (7-2) over the Hornets (3-6) at Newcastle.

Reilly, who did not allow a walk or an earned run, had three hits and scored two runs. Dalton Leeman also scored twice. 

POLAND 5, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 4: Kaleb Bridgham went 2 for 3 with a double, two runs scored and one RBI to lead the Knights (3-8) past the Raiders (1-10) at Poland.

Brad Lloyd had four walks, drove in one run and scored once for Fryeburg. 

WISCASSET 5, GEORGES VALLEY 2: Mason Brewer hit a two-out RBI single in the top of the seventh to break a tie and lift Wiscasset (7-2) over Georges Valley (2-5) at Thomaston.

Corey Hodsdon added a two-run double after Brewer’s go-ahead hit.

Jason Weatherbee pitched a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts and nine walks for Wiscasset. 

MEDOMAK VALLEY 4, OAK HILL 3: Alex Greenrose singled in the winning run in the top of ninth to lift Medomak Valley (6-3) over Oak Hill at Wales.

Brandon Soper relieved in the third inning with the Panthers trailing 3-1 and held Oak Hill to one hit the rest of the way, with seven strikeouts and no walks.

LACROSSE

LEWISTON 8, CAPE ELIZABETH 7: Sam Cloutier scored with 48 seconds left to break a 7-7 tie and lift the Blue Devils (6-1) over the Capers (5-2) at Lewiston.

Wilson Laprade had three goals for the Capers.
