UMaine men’s basketball team signs Canadian, Serb to 2011 recruiting class
Two men’s basketball players signed letters of intent to play at the University of Maine next season, Coach Ted Woodward announced Tuesday.
Justin Edwards, a 6-foot-2 guard from Whitby, Ontario, was the eighth-ranked player in Canada for the 2011 recruiting class. He averaged 20.4 points, 5.7 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 3.5 steals during his high school career.
Zarko Valjarevic, a 6-4 guard-forward from Serbia, played one season for Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass.
