Coaches will be on hand, and handouts, snacks and more will be available. Event details: Scarborough High School, Sunday, June 5 from noon to 4 pm. Registration fee is $10. Contact Jo Dill at jdill@smaaa.org or 396-6519, or register online at www.mainesrgames.org.

The Carrabassett Backcountry Cycle Challenge will be held July 24 at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center. The challenge is a 50-mile endurance race. The terrain will consist of technical single track, double track and dirt roads, with steep climbs and downhills. A shorter 25-mile option will be offered as well as a race for kids. Participants can register at BikeReg.com, or for more information go to www.carrabassettvalley.org or contact Emmy Monahan at duchess.of.dirt@hotmail.com.
