OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Old Orchard Beach scored four times in the third inning to take a 5-2 lead and held off Waynflete for a 5-4 victory Wednesday in a Western Maine Conference baseball game.

Sean Curtis sparked the rally for the Seagulls (7-6) with a single that drove in Ryan Grant and Jason Dutton before scoring on Jeremy Legere’s double.

Legere scored the final run of the inning against the Flyers (7-3). 

FALMOUTH 9, YARMOUTH 1: Ben Goffin hit a solo home run in the second inning and drove in two more runs on a single as the Yachtsmen (7-6) defeated the Clippers (11-3) at Yarmouth.

Matt MacDowell had a two-run single in the fourth inning when Falmouth scored five runs to take a 7-0 lead.

Dylan Dresser pitched a five-hitter with two walks and four strikeouts to earn the win.

CHEVERUS 8, BONNY EAGLE 2: Nick Lops had three hits, including an RBI triple in the first inning, as the Stags (11-1) defeated the Scots (3-9) at Standish.

Louie DiStasio drove in two runs with a double and a single for Cheverus, and Harry Ridge scattered eight hits and struck out six with no walks. 

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 9, LAKE REGION 4: Ian MacFawn struck out 10 in six innings, leading Fryeburg (3-12) over the Lakers (4-10) at Naples.

Kirk Hubbard had three hits and four RBI for the Raiders. Jack Anderson had three hits for the Lakers. 

ST. DOMINIC 8, GEORGES VALLEY 5: Jimmy Theriault and Drew Gosselin hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning to lead the Saints (11-2) to a win over the Buccaneers (3-8) at Thomaston.

Brandon Knight had two RBI for Georges Valley.

GREELY 16, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Jonah Normandeau and Alex Clark combined for a two-hitter over five innings, leading Greely (13-1) over Traip Academy (7-8) in a mercy-rule game at Kittery.

Liam Maker had three hits, including a two-run homer in the first inning, and drove in four runs. 

WELLS 14, FREEPORT 12: The Warriors (9-4) hit four home runs and outlasted the Falcons (4-10) at Freeport.

Josh Ingalls and Paul McDonough each hit two-run homers and Joey Spinelli and Cole Boston added solo shots.

Freeport got home runs from Kaleb Farmer, Dan Burke and Jared Knighton, who hit a grand slam during a six-run rally in the seventh.

Spinelli, McDonough and Kevin Woods each had three hits for Wells. Farmer had three hits for Freeport.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 7, POLAND 6: Tim Lerette had two hits to lead the Patriots (8-6) over the Knights (3-12) at Gray.

Lerette hit a two-run double and scored on a single by Ben Verrill in the fourth inning when the Patriots scored five runs.

Devon Goyette of Poland tied it at 6 with a two-run single in the sixth. Goyette and Connor King each had two hits. 

DEERING 18, GORHAM 11: Jamie Ross hit three doubles, drove in four runs and scored three time to lead visiting Deering (10-2) over Gorham (3-10).

Nick DiBiase had four hits with two RBI and three runs, and John Miranda finished with three hits and three runs.

Dominic Esposito-Martin pitched the final two innings for Deering, allowing one run, striking out two and retiring the side in order in the sixth.

Steve Broy had four hits and a walk and scored five runs for Gorham. Zach Speirs had three hits. 

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 18, RICHMOND 5: Ryan Salerno hit a home run and a double, and the Panthers (9-3) used eight errors to beat the Bobcats (5-6) at Richmond. 

ROCKLAND 16, MEDOMAK VALLEY 5: Billy Joyce had three hits and scored two runs to help Rockland (10-4) get past the Panthers (9-6) at Waldoboro.

Robby Griffin had a three-run homer for Medomak Valley.
