WINDHAM — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car this afternoon, police said.
Police identified the motorcyclist as Michael Kozel of Denmark, 60. His wife, Linda Kozel, 52, was a passenger on the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries. Police said she was in a local hospital in critical condition.
Neither was wearing a helmet, police said.
Police said the accident occurred just after 4 p.m. at the intersection of Route 302 and Enterprise Drive.
Henry Schaeflern, 83, was headed west on Route 302, driving a Honda Civic, police said. Witness told police Schaeflern turned left toward Enterprise Drive and drove into the path of the motorcycle.
Schaeflern was not injured.
Police said neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be factors and no charges were filed.
