PORTLAND — Ryan Lavarnway hit his team-leading 11th home run and Tim Federowicz singled three times. But the Portland Sea Dogs still lost another game, dropping a 6-4 decision to the Trenton Thunder Monday afternoon, before 5,279 at Hadlock Field.

Portland finished its nine-game home stand with a 2-7 record, and are now 14-34 overall.

Trenton, the New York Yankees Double-A minor league team, is now 31-19.

On Monday, Sea Dogs starter Alex Wilson left the game after five innings, with a 3-2 lead. But reliever Kyle Fernandes (0-2) gave up four runs in the seventh, and Portland could not catch up.

The Sea Dogs go on the road for the rest of the week and return to Hadlock on June 7.
