SCARBOROUGH – John Wheeler had four goals and two assists Wednesday to lead Scarborough to a 9-4 victory against Portland as the regular season ended in schoolboy lacrosse.

Jon Blaisdell added a goal and four assists, and Peter Moore had two goals and an assist for Scarborough (11-1).

Caleb Kenney had a goal and two assists for the Bulldogs (9-3).

GORHAM 10, CHEVERUS 8: Tyler Rankin had four goals, and Connor Smith added three goals and four assists as the Rams (6-6) edged the Stags (5-7) at Gorham.

Eliot Gagne added a goal and three assists, and Nate Holloran made 15 saves for Gorham.

Cam Olson and Stephen Ambrose each scored twice for Cheverus.

GREELY 13, YARMOUTH 12: Nick Rotondi had four goals, and Austin Spencer chipped in three goals and an assist as the Rangers (8-4) edged the Clippers (6-6) at Cumberland.

Matt Ricker put Greely ahead 13-11 with 5:52 left.

WELLS 6, LAKE REGION 3: Alex Robinson scored twice for the Warriors (7-5), who took a 6-1 halftime lead against the Lakers (2-10) at Naples.

Wells also got goals from Brandon Morton, Kyle Morton, Nathan Weston and Drew Shelley.

T.J. Leach, Brian Chute and Ryan Skillern scored for Lake Region. Joe Turnbull made 25 saves.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 17, YORK 2: Forrest Milburn and Finn Hadlock each had four goals as the Panthers (5-7) downed the Wildcats (6-6) at Yarmouth.

Jack Scammon had three goals, and T.J. Daigler and Issac Lipton chipped in two apiece.

Noah Seely and Matt Kibler also scored, and Weston Nolan made seven saves for NYA.

KENNEBUNK 11, SOUTH PORTLAND 7: John Grillo had four goals, and Blake Dowe added three goals and an assist as the Rams (9-3) downed the Red Riots (7-5) at South Portland.

Ben Bath made six saves for Kennebunk.

Harrison Keathly had a goal and five assists, Robert Hannigan added two goals and Connor Igo stopped 16 shots for the Red Riots, who trailed 8-7 with 1:03 remaining.

FALMOUTH 13, WELLS 2: Andrew Emple hit a three-run homer to highlight a 12-run fifth inning that lifted the Yachtsmen (10-6) over the Warriors (10-6) in five innings at Falmouth.

Ryan MacDonald led off the fifth with a double, and had two hits and scored twice in the inning. Grayson Beressi was 3 for 4 with a two-run ground-rule double that ended the game.

Dylan Dresser struck out six and walked none in a seven-hitter for Falmouth. Louis DiTomasso homered for Wells.

TRAIP ACADEMY 5, FREEPORT 4: Traip Academy (8-8) took advantage of three walks, and RBI singles by Cole Kuehl and Evan Pereira to take a 5-0 lead in the first inning against the Falcons (5-11) at Freeport.

Freeport got four straight hits and scored three runs in the seventh off reliever Luke Edwards, but he struck out three of the last four batters to end it.

YARMOUTH 12, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 4: The Clippers (13-3) used five multiple-run innings to beat the visiting Panthers (12-4) at Yarmouth.

Third baseman Joey King had an RBI single and made three barehanded plays for Yarmouth.

Dustin McCrossin had two hits, including a two-run single in the three-run first for Yarmouth, which also scored three in the sixth, and two runs in the second, fourth and fifth innings.

SOFTBALL

CAPE ELIZABETH 5, GREELY 0: Ally Boyington pitched a three-hitter with four walks and one strikeout as the Capers (10-6) downed Greely (9-7) at Cape Elizabeth.

Boyington allowed three hits and four walks, and struck out one. Danielle Cimino of Greely pitched a two-hitter with six walks and two strikeouts.

FREEPORT 11, TRAIP ACADEMY 5: Leigh Wyman was 4 for 5 with three RBI to lead the Falcons (6-10) past the Rangers (3-13) at Freeport.

Hannah Chase added two hits and two RBI for Freeport. K.C. Breed also drove in two and Mikaela Gillis had two hits.
