The Landing at Pine Point in Scarborough is hosting a dinner show for boxing fans on Thursday night. The event will feature Portland Boxing Club boxers vs. boxers from all over New England. “Irish” Micky Ward, subject of the movie “The Fighter,” will make a special guest appearance. The evening kicks off at 5:30 with a social hour and a “meet and greet” with Ward. A prime rib dinner will be served at 7 p.m., and the boxing starts at 8 p.m. Nationally rated middleweight Russell Lamour will fight in the main event. The Matt Noyes Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Sable Oaks. Noyes was an athlete at Scarborough and Cheverus high schools who lost a battle with brain cancer a few years ago. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Matt Noyes Memorial Foundation and Camp Sunshine. The Noyes foundation supports brain cancer research at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
