ROCKWOOD — A year after he disappeared on Moosehead Lake while kayaking, a Maine man’s body was recovered and tentatively identified.

The Maine Warden Service says James Russell’s body was discovered Saturday morning by kayakers. Russell, of Rockwood, disappeared last November. Russell’s body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s office in Augusta.

He was tentatively identified by his clothing, which matched the description of what Russell was wearing at the time of his disappearance. Russell was 51.
