Girls and boys ages 6 to 15 are invited to compete in the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick local competition on Saturday at the Gray-New Gloucester High School athletic field. There are five age groups of boys and girls with 10 winners moving on to the sectional competition. All contestants must register and have a parent/guardian sign a waiver. You can preregister online at www.patriotppk.com. Bring soft-sole shoes and proof of age. No cleats are allowed.
The Margaret Murphy Center for Children in Auburn will hold a 5-kilometer Trot for Autism on Saturday. Proceeds from this year’s fun run will go to the purchase of recreational equipment for the center’s grounds. The run will begin and end at Geiger Elementary School. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with a start time of 9. Registration fee is $20 and each registrant will receive a T-shirt. Registration forms are available at www.margaretmurphycenter.com, area businesses and on race day.
