SCARBOROUGH — A two-car accident on the Maine Turnpike this afternoon is causing major delays, according to the Maine Turnpike Authority.

The accident happened in the northbound lanes between exits 42 and 44 in Scarborough. The Maine Turnpike Authority asks that drivers on the turnpike use caution while passing one of the cars that remains in the highway.

State police said there were no injuries in the crash.
