HEBRON — Next summer there’ll be the real Olympics with track and field and other events in London, England. This weekend, there’s the Redneck Olympics with unorthodox events like wife-carrying and beer-swilling in Hebron.

Redneck Olympic events include bobbing for pigs’ feet, toilet-seat horseshoes, lawn mower races, a mud run and pie-eating contest. Organizer Harold Brooks cleared out space for campers on his cattle farm.

Brooks says there’ll be pig-roasting, beer-drinking and loud music courtesy of a 30,000-watt sound system. He tells the Sun Journal that he appeased neighbors by giving them free tickets.
